Bucarest, Romania, 3 octobre 2000, (AFP) - The Romanian gymnast Andreea Raducan, 17, stripped of the Olympic gold medal after testing positive in Sydney, has given permission for the realisation of a movie about her life, they informed thuesday in Bucarest.

The family of the under age gymnast, signed an exclusive contract with the Romanian production house, Media Pro Pictures, in exchange for the amount of 10 000 $ US.

"We haven't yet fixed the distribution, but a crew of scenarists have already started their work. It's not out of the question that Andreea is going to play her own part", said Andrei Boncea, general manager of Media Pro Pictures.

The fiction film, of which the release as been set for 2001, will be precede by a documentary that will be finished before the end of the year 2000, according to M. Boncea.

She was stripped of her individual AA title, for taking to cold pils, which contained pseudo-éphédrine. Andreea, is in Romania considered the victime symbol in the battle against doping of the Olympic Games in Sydney, she became the most popular girl of the country.
